The fifth edition is a complete rewrite of the Reinforced Concrete Design Handbook and brings it into line with the 2009 edition of AS 3600 Concrete Structures and Amendment No. 1-2010. It also takes into account changes in other Australian Standards that have occurred since the fourth edition was published. In line with current design technology spreadsheets are used to illustrate the design principles of reinforced concrete, the requirements of AS 3600 and the recommendations of this Handbook.
