AS/NZS 60335.2.56:2006

This International Standard deals with the safety of electric projectors and similar appliances for household and similar purposes, their rated voltage being not more than 250 volt. Examples of appliances that are within the scope of this Standard are effects projectors; film-strip projectors; film viewers; microscope projectors; motion-picture projectors; opaque projectors (episcopes); opaque-transparency projectors (epidiascopes); overhead projectors; photographic enlargers; photo-reproduction appliances; slide projectors (diascopes); slide-sorting appliances; still viewers. Appliances may incorporate sound amplifiers. This Standard will supersede AS/NZS 3350.2.56:1998 seven years from the date of publication (i.e. on 23 June 2013). During this seven year period either AS/NZS 3350.2.56:1998 or AS/NZS 60335.2.56:2006 may be used for regulatory purposes in both Australia and New Zealand.
