This International Standard deals with the safety of electric appliances for use with aquariums and garden ponds for household and similar purposes, their rated voltage being not more than 250 volt. Examples of appliances within the scope of this Standard are: aerators; aquarium heaters; automatic food dispensers; sludge-suction appliances. It incorporates the following amendments to the previous edition: Amendment No. 1 (June 2006), Amendment No. 2 (May 2009) and Amendment No. 3 (April 2011).
