This Standard is an adoption with national modifications of the sixth edition of IEC 60335-2-13, Household and similar electrical appliances – safety – Part 2-13: Particular requirements for deep fat fryers, frying pans and similar appliances. This part 2 has to be used in conjunction with the latest edition of AS/NZS 60335.1 Household and similar electrical appliances – Safety – Part 1: General requirements and its Amendments. It was established on the basis of AS/NZS 60335.1:2002. The principal changes in this edition as compared with the 2004 edition of AS/NZS 60335.2.13 are as follows (minor changes are not listed): – the scope is changed to cover household and similar use, – additional instructions are added to reflect the content of the scope (7.12). There are no national variations from the IEC Standard from which This Standard is adopted, other than those listed in Annex ZZ to AS/NZS 60335.1.
