This specification applies to – moulded endless v-belts; moulded endless double v-belts; moulded endless variable speed belts; v-grooved pulleys; and v-belt drives; used for power transmission for agricultural machines. Appendices include examples of the calculation of belt length, centre distance, installation and take-up allowances and inspection requirements, and a laboratory procedure for testing v-belts. The v-belt drives in AS B241 and AS B243 may also find application in agricultural machinery.
