This Standard prescribes the minimum requirements consistent with safety for the material, construction, design, inspection and maintenance of shackles and bridle chains for use on cages employed in winding operations in collieries. This Standard is intended to apply to the relevant components of the suspension assemblage of bulk hoisting skips.
