This code describes standard physical and chemical methods of testing woven textile fabrics. It includes only those methods of test which have a general application and which are capable of results of the accuracy required for the purposes of standard specification. it does not cover tests which are applicable only to specific types of fabrics, nor does it cover tests which are used in some types of routine testing but which are not sufficiently accurate to serve as standard methods.
