This part of the SAA Boiler Welding Certification Code specifies the pre-examination qualifications and the examinations required for the granting of certificates for welders engaged in manual metal arc welding, flame cutting and gouging of boiler quality carbon steel plate, sections and other components. It is intended to be applied in the welding of boiler and pressure vessels constructed in accordance with AS CB1, and, where appropriate, for other welded constructions.
