This code forms the basis for the identification of piping, conduits and ducts in structures, in industrial and commercial premises generally, and in ships and associated shore installations. It applies to pipes, conduits, ducts and sheathing used for the transport of all types of fluids or for enclosing electrical services. The code is not intended to apply to pipelines buried in the ground.
