This specification applies to polyvinl chloride or copolymer (PVC) sheathing of cables and flexible cords intended for use in electrical installations at working voltages not exceeding 3.3 kV. The tests prescribed in This Standard apply to sheathing incorporated in a finished cable or cord, or samples removed from the finished cable or cord, as may be specified in the particulart test.
