Applies to dial gauges having the axis of the plunger movement parallel to the plane of the dial; with dial diameters from 1 1/4 inch to 2 inches, and having ranges of movement of the plunger up to 1/2 inch or 12 mm. and measuring by steps of 0.001 inches, 0.0005 inches, 0,0001 inches, and 0.01 mm.
