Applies to hand-operated pulley blocks, for use with natural fibre rope of synthetic filament rope, and to hand-operated and power-operated pulley blocks for use with wire rope where the block is NOT an integral part of a crane, hoist or similar appliance. It doesn ot apply to ships’ cargo blocks. Materials, safe working load and requirements for design, construction, testing and marking of pulley blocks are specified.
