Specifies requirements for design, manufacture, marking, and testing of forged lifting hooks having a working load limit of not more than 25 t, for use with wire rope, sheave blocks, serial hoists, or general engineering applications. It includes large eye hooks and shank hooks. Guidance on information to be supplied with enquiries and orders is given in an appendix.
