These Rules, which enumerate the essential requirements for ensuring safety from fire and shock, relate to all electrical installations in or on buildings, structures, and premises, but shall not apply, in premises owned or occupied by any electricity Supply Authority, to wiring and apparatus which is used for any purpose other than the consumption of electricity within such premises or for purposes immediately incidental thereto, nor shall they apply to supply equipment installed on a consumer’s premises, and belonging to the Supply Authority; for example, the service line, service fuses, meters, and the like.
