Applies to accelerated zinc oxide/eugenol materials for use as linings, bases, fillings and cementing media used in restorative dentistry. Properties, preparation of materials for testing, information to be supplied by the manufacturer of non-capsulated and capsulated materials, and marking of packages and containers are specified. Appendices give methods of test for setting time, compressive strength, film thickness, solubility and disintegration.
