Sets out requirements for the manufacture and testing of pig iron for use in foundries. Grades include regular foundry, low phosphorus foundry, extra low phosphorus, medium phosphorus, regular nodular and special nodular, and are designated accordingly. An appendix provides advice to purchasers in buying pig iron to this Standard.
