AS 1715-1975 applies to the selection, use and maintenance of personal protective devices for the protection of the body against atmospheres deficient in oxygen and/or against harmful substances which enter the body through the respiratory system; such harmful substances include dusts, mists, metallic fumes, smokes, gases and vapours.
