Specifies a coupler suitable for determining the physical performance characteristics of hearing aids. The coupler is identical with that recommended by the IEC. The use of this coupler does not permit the actual performance of a hearing aid on the human ear to be determined, but allows the comparison of hearing aids of similar types.
