This Standard covers the following aspects of the interface between rolling stock and signalling detection systems: – compatibility with signalling detection systems for new and modified Locomotive, Freight, Passenger and Infrastructure Maintenance rolling stock- basic rolling stock performance requirements aimed at ensuring detectability of rolling stock on Australasian rail networks (the standard does not replace practical testing of rolling stock on actual track circuits extant on the networks upon which it is designed to run).
